America’s Heritage of Christian Character
February 11, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EST
$10A Lessons in Liberty Presentation
The principle of America’s Heritage of Christian Character, presented by Max Lyons, is part three of a seven part series on the Seven Principles of Liberty.
Sadly we are witnessing the death of our republican form of government. This is primarily due to a loss of our national character. Our second president, John Adams rightly observed:
“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
A people cannot remain free under a republican form of government unless they remain virtuous and morally upright.
Max Lyons served as teacher and administrator in three Christian schools since 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Virginia Wesleyan College, a Masters in Christian School Administration from Regent University, and a Ph.D. in Christian Education from Whitefield Theological Seminary. He currently serves as Director of Teaching Services at The Foundation for American Christian Education. He is the author or co-author of six books. Max and his wife Margie have four adult children and seven grandchildren.
A charge of $10 (individual or family) includes the live presentation, video-recorded session, and handouts.
