Gailon Totheroh
Media Bias:
Distorting Truth, Science, and Polar Bears

Monday, January 11, 6:30-8:30 p.m. EDT
In our Chesapeake, Virginia classroom and live online

To warm or not to warm? That is not the question asked by news outlets. No, denying the facts, they've concluded that the temperature is skyrocketing. The goal of journalism used to be discovering the truth. What is it now? Whatever happened to the pretense of objectivity? Drawing on examples from climate alarmism, medicine, and science, the presentation explores the worldviews and some possible remedies for the false understanding of journalism in education and public life.

Gailon Totheroh is a veteran television journalist with 25 years of experience—producing 500 nationally broadcast news stories on topics such as cloning, food additives, textbooks, vitamins, evolution, trash television, religious trends, and the advantages of dark chocolate. Formerly Senior Reporter and Science & Medical Reporter with CBN News, he is a freelance writer and video producer with his own production company. He is currently writing a book, Climate of Freedom, on the dangers of global warming alarmism.
