What is a Parent to Do? Educational Solutions That Work

On Monday, May 14th in our classroom and live online, 7:00-8:30 pm EST

Parents today are faced with a raw deal. As taxpayers, Americans pay from $15-25,000 per child per year for government education. Yet, huge numbers of parents believe that their children would be much better served elsewhere. They would vote with their feet if they could. Yet they are prevented from accessing what they consider an excellent education. Their children are forced to accept an inferior education, dangerous conditions, and socialist/humanistic brainwashing because they cannot afford to make choices that others can. Is there a solution to this problem? Yes, but we must have the will to buck the status quo. Powerful forces and huge sums of money are on the side of maintaining the government school monopoly and system that insists that it’s “my way or the highway.” The good news is that there are solutions. Stellar Biblical education models are producing superior results at half or less of the current costs. The challenge is to find a way to help parents access these models. Let’s discuss how to accomplish this!

Max Lyons served as teacher and administrator in three Christian schools since 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Virginia Wesleyan College, a Masters in Christian School Administration from Regent University, and a Ph.D. in Christian Education from Whitefield Theological Seminary.  He currently serves as Director of Teaching Services at The Foundation for American Christian Education. He is the author or co-author of six books. Max and his wife Margie have four adult children and seven grandchildren.
