October 18 & 19, 2012
Virginia Beach, Virginia
"Let every Student be plainly instructed, and
earnestly pressed to consider well, the maine end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ which is
eternall life, Joh. 17.3. and therefore to lay Christ at the bottome, as the only foundation of all sound
knowledge and Learning.”
England’s First Fruits, 1643
very special invitation is extended to parents, teachers, school leaders,
pastors and statesmen to join us this October for the Christian Scholarship Conference
on the Virginia coast to learn together the Biblical, classical, and historical
foundations of Christian Scholarship. Join us for instruction, fellowship
and encouragement in reaching for the excellence of Christ in education. The conference schedule features dedicated
times for reflection and discussion in order to relate the topic presented to your
specific learning setting or life application. Dynamic teaching and high quality
peer-exchanges on the Atlantic oceanfront:
could be more satisfying!
Christian Scholarship defines one who is "learning of the Master Teacher"; a
pupil who is "under the precepts and discipleship of Jesus Christ"; an erudite individual "of the
Word.” Clearly this was the intent of
Harvard College (then known as the College at Cambridge of Massachusetts Bay)
as expressed above and published in the year following the graduation of the
first class of nine graduates. It must
be our intent as Christian parents and educators today, "to lay Christ at the
bottome, as the only foundation.” Join
us in this common effort, REGISTER TODAY!
