Finding Your Place in His Story
When history is presented as God’s story, rather than the story of man’s achievements, studying any historical event, individual, or document provides a greater understanding of God and His nature and character. This builds the solid foundation in our children for trusting the Lord and for seeking His guidance.
When young students study the lives of individuals in history in light of God’s eternal plan, seeds of attaining ennobled Christian character are planted within their spirits, endowing them with a greater vision for their own potential in Christ. It builds their faith and furnishes hope for fulfilling their God-ordained place on the Chain of Christianity®. The Bible is the heart of our Christian curriculum. History taught from a providential view is the backbone of the Christian curriculum and is an interdisciplinary subject integrating biography, government, and economics, character study, primary source documents, geography, composition, music, art, and literature.
Children love geography, especially when it’s taught from a providential view, which inspires and builds within them an ever-increasing knowledge of God’s nature and character. Student map studies, which build geographical literacy about the world and its continents and countries, are used throughout the entire curriculum. Geography is a science—as complex as astrophysical geography and as simple as the study of “God’s handwriting on the earth.”
