Thinking Governmentally from Internal to External
The
This notebook contains the complete 9th–12th grade Principle Approach curriculum plan. This essential teacher resource is designed to work with the Principle Approach foundational books and The Noah Plan Curriculum Guides. These high school subject overviews give the detailed curriculum outlines for all 9-12th grade subjects and include schedules, supply lists, resource lists and class constitution. A CD is included to inspire and equip the teacher and give living testimony to the results through student interviews. The Noah Plan high school program includes extensive essay writing, research papers, science projects, portfolio projects, and the research, writing, and oral defense of the senior thesis. The high school student steeped in The Noah Plan develops a true sense of scholarship, begins to think governmentally using all of the basic recurring Biblical principles learned in previous years, and demonstrates a teachable spirit and growing discipleship. Results of the program in homeschools and demonstration schools show exceptional achievement in standardized testing including SATs, the PEERS Test, National Merit status, and acceptance to high-quality colleges. Every subject is built upon the Biblical principles that give the student a reasoned understanding of life and learning as he masters the subject. High School students research from primary sources, apply principles of logic in thinking and reasoning, and excel in Christian scholarship.

Literature and English
The Principle Approach method lends itself to unit studies. As in the case with high school, a student’s literature lesson will often include a history lesson. The subjects work together to form a whole curriculum that comes alive through the study of providential history in every subject.
The Deerslayer: $6.00 (11th grade)
James Fenimore Cooper, considered the first major American novelist, authored over thirty novels including Last of the Mohicans, and yet he considered The Deerslayer (1840) and The Pathfinder (1841) his best works. The Deerslayer introduces Natty Bumppo, the hero of the Leatherstocking series, as he becomes a warrior for the first time. Only the American Christian philosophy of government could bring forth a free man like Deerslayer, whose integrity of character reflected our Christian base and whose liberty was balanced by his desire to be obedient to God’s law. The Deerslayer is a never-to-be forgotten tale of faithfulness, courage, friendship, and love.
The Deerslayer Teacher Guide: $9.00 (11th grade)
The literary and author study includes a list of Cooper’s other writings. It covers such topics as “American Christian Principles in Deerslayer,” “The American Indian and God’s Principle of Individuality,” “Principles of Conservation,” and “American Distinctives.”
